Firstly read this --> http://daxueyingyu.com/hugo/index.php?/archives/18-Downtown-For-An-Alarm.htmlPlease note that I have made an effort to help you translate what I believe might possibly be the difficult words and expressions. If you mouse-over certain words and expressions the Chinese translation will pop up in the bottom right of your screen. Haha, I hope you utilize this feature since it is pretty time consuming to implement those translations. 请注意 我已经做了努力来帮你翻译一些我认为可能比较难懂的单词和句子。如果你把鼠标移到这些单词和句子中文翻译就会显示在你的电脑屏幕下方。哈哈, 我希望你们使用这项功能因为做了这些翻译是相当费时间的。 Again, answer these questions if you like. It is certainly not required, but if you answer I will try my best to correct any mistakes you make. You are required to read everything from the link above though. 如果你想,请回答这些问题。这当然不是必需的,但如果你回答我会尽我所能,以纠正你的错误。但是,您需要阅读本文 --> Downtown For An AlarmThe recording of the article can be downloaded here. 本文的录音可以在这里下载. --> wk4 English listening 1 - read-throughwk4 English listening 2 - listen and repeatwk4 English listening 3 - translation challengeWhat methods would you employ to turn down someone's offer? How do you reject or refuse invitations from other people?
Many products are manufactured in China, but are not consumed by the Chinese population at large. What are your houghts about the discrepancies between the products produced for domestic consumption versus those produced mainly for export?
When communicating with people how much do you make use of body language? Does this change under different circumstances? For example affected by your mood, who you are addressing, etc.?

Haha, yeah those pesky little stores there are a pain in the ass. They usually carry the same products in every single one of the stores so it's not really like you have a choice. I got an alarm clock that works on electricity though. Bought it back in the Netherlands before I came here as I figured it may not be as easy to get in other places.

Yeah, without body language I would have had an even harder time communicating. Haha, and I still rely on body language quite a lot. @Mr Viper: Haha, I guess I don't often plan ahead, and if I did I would have definitely brought an alarm clock with me. Well, at least not bringing an alarm got me a somewhat interesting story. @Zora: Language is certainly an important tool! Haha, instead of relying on other people to show me around it's high time that I stopped being so lazy and made at least some kind of effort to study Chinese.

If I couldn't find sth in the stores nearby, I'll look for it on the website like TB. It's convenient to wait the seller send it to you.

Online shopping certainly has its advantages. Haha, but back then I didn't even know that taobao existed.

haha! You shouldn't be shy to ask someone for help! It was not a shameful thing that a new-comer didn't know the way . I have lived in Shijiazhuang for almost half a year ,In fact ,I always lose my way when I'm out.

I will use moderate methods to turn down others' offer. if i really can't accept the invitation, i will refuse it. At the same time, I will apologize to the host.
It is a pity.Because we can not use our own resourses to serve our people. The fact tell us that our people can not afford that expensive things. We should do our best to develop our economy.
When I communicate with others,I will use body language which is really helpful. In different situations,I will use different body language. It depends on the circumstances.Of course, sometimes, the same body language have different meanings in different situations,so please careful!
